Day 2...

(All guests)
This morning you can enjoy a short taster ride on a husky sledge or snowmobile. After, check out a traditional Arctic Circle Crossing Ceremony. This afternoon’s all about free time so why not test out your snowball-making prowess or try a taste reindeer sleigh ride?

Day 3...

(Guests on 4 night stays)
Guests on 3-night stays will enjoy Day 4’s activity list on their third and final day. So, which snow-bound taster was your favourite? Snowmobile? Husky ride? Reindeer sleigh? Day 4...

(All guests)

These activities will be on Day 3 for guests on a three-night stay.

At SantaPark, you’ll get to meet Santa, graduate from elf school and decorate gingerbread. Don’t forget to send a letter home from the Arctic Circle post office. Tonight, go crackers at your cool Christmas dinner. The feast has all the trimmings, plus a special visit by Santa on his reindeer sleigh.

These trips are available from any of our hotels in Rovaniemi, which is also the city you’ll fly into. Because the days are so packed, activities can differ from the order above, but everything’s included at some point.

Lapland Explorer 3 and 4 night trips...

Leave behind the big city attractions and soak up Levi, Pallas and Yllas' authentic Lappish atmosphere. Here, old world charm is a way of life and you’ll always find a fireplace to snuggle up by. And if your Lapland holidays aren’t complete without trying out some traditional activities like ice-fishing or snowmobiling, these are the spots to do it.

Day 1...

(All guests)
Plenty of carols and colouring-in will get you in the festive spirit on your flight to Lapland and the fun continues when Santa’s elves meet you at the airport. After a merry welcome, settle into your quiet, snow-covered surrounds. Your afternoon’s free, so why not find your ski legs or just chill fireside in your toasty hotel or log cabin.

Day 2...

(All guests)
Get a taste of real Lappish life and enjoy a short husky sledge or snowmobile taster ride. Later on, soak up some culture at a traditional Arctic Circle Crossing Ceremony. You'll have some free time in the afternoon, so why not hop into a snowsuit and build your first snowman or challenge your family to a snow fight? There’s also a short reindeer sleigh ride to test out.

Day 3…

(Guests on 4 night stays)
Guests on 3-day stays will enjoy Day 4’s activity list on their third and final day.

Was it horse power, puppy power or antler energy that won your heart yesterday? Whichever it was, you can relive the experience on an optional excursion today. If you’d rather, why not try your hand at some ice-fishing or just pass the day getting to know the locals in a quaint bar.

Day 4…

(All guests)
These activities will be on Day 3 for guests on a three-night stay and vary between resorts.

Today you’ll meet the man who delivers sleigh-loads of cheer. You’ll be busy on your visit to Santa’s activity area decorating cookies and Christmas ornaments, tobogganing and saying ‘hello’ to the reindeer. And tonight, there’s an extra-special Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. And, if you’re good, Santa will stop by to hand out some presents.

For these Lapland trips, you'll fly into Kittila and can stay at any of our hotels in Levi, Pallas and Yllas.

Festivities are fun and because the days are so packed, activities can differ from the order above, but everything will be included at some point.

Santa's Wonderland 3 or 4 night trips...

Fall for the snowy fells and whiter-than-white wilderness of Saariselka. Here, you’re on Santa’s home turf, and you can even shake hands with the big fellow at Santa Resort. It’s also the place to see the mysterious Northern Lights. And, because it’s a small resort, you can easily explore in your own time, too.

*Fly into Ivalo for Saariselka

Day 1…

All guests
Touch down at Ivalo airport and you’ll be whisked off to your Saariselka hotel. There, the elves will make sure you’re warm and comfy in special Arctic clothing. Why not explore Saariselkä this afternoon? You’ll easily spot the indigenous Sami people in their bright-coloured traditional clothes.

Day 2…

All guests
Enjoy a sleep-in if you like today because you’ll need to save up all your energy for this afternoon’s fun at Santa Resort. This cool park is where the jolly fellow lives with his crew of elves. And together they’ve got loads for you to do. For a start, you’ll meet Santa in his snow-covered log cabin and – as you sip a hot drink and nibble on gingerbread biscuits – you can tell him your Christmas wishes. But that’s not all. The elves will give you a tour of their kingdom and you’ll meet the all-important reindeer who help Santa deliver his presents. If you’re keen, you can give snowmobiling and a husky dog ride a go on special taster rides.

Day 3…

Guests on 4 night stays
Guests on 3-night stays will enjoy Day 4’s activity list on their third and final day.

Get creative because – if you haven’t already – today’s the day to build your first snowman. Don’t forget to find some sticks for his arms and rocks for his eyes. If you’re feeling the need for speed, why not give snowmobiling a try? And if you’re a ski bunny, there’s fields close by. Plus, there’s also a really long toboggan run.

Day 4…

All guests
Forget outdoor cinema in the summer because, on holidays in Lapland, going to the movies is seriously cool fun. On this optional excursion you’ll head deep into the forest for a festive film treat. Don’t worry, you’ll be all rugged up in special snow gear and blankets, and there’s a log cabin with an open fireplace if you need a break from the snowy setting. Don’t worry if you work up an appetite, your Gala dinner is tonight. If you’re on a three-day break, you can also opt to do your optional excursions today.

Christmas & New Year Getaways...

Why not dash through the snow and celebrate Christmas in Lapland? You can fly into Ivalo and stay in Saariselka for three, four or six nights. Saariselka is the northernmost resort in Lapland, and you're more likely to see the Northern Lights here than in Levi, Pallas, Yllas or Rovaniemi. Plus, if you stay for six nights, you'll wake up on December 25th and can have a real snow fight before you see what Santa's left for you under the tree.

Guests who stay over Christmas or New Year will participate in all the activities of those on a 4-night stay, plus...

Day 5…

Merry Christmas. Today’s Christmas Day so get ready to enjoy it in snowy style. Why not open your presents and then head outside for a snow fight? Make sure you take some time to explore Saariselkä because you never know who you’ll bump into.

Day 6…

Carefully pack up your Christmas presents and put your clothes back into your suitcase because you’re heading home today. But, before you fly, there should be time for one more snowman-building session.

Lapland’s great fun and because the days are so busy, activities can change from the order above. But, don’t worry, everything will be included at some point.
