Chalet Les Martins A - Tignes (France)...
A traditional wooden-clad building, Chalet Les Martins is divided into three separate chalets – one on each floor. Each chalet is simply decorated and all are homely and comfortable. Each has its own separate living room complete with south facing balcony and chalet Les Martins A has it's own dining room for 10 people. All floors are linked by a shared staircase which goes through each chalet, with some rooms each side of the staircase.

Chalet Les Martins A is superbly placed to access the extensive skiing of Tignes. Both the Chaudanne and the Paquis lifts are a short walk away (280 metres approx.), accessing both the Val d’Isère and Tignes sides of the resort. In addition, there is a piste within 50 metres (approx.) of the chalet (these 50 metres are not pisted). It is also close to the centre of Tignes Le Lac (420 metres approx.) and its nightlife.

Tignes offers some of the best skiing in Europe with guaranteed snow all season long. Part of the Espace Killy ski area the skiing is varied and vast, from the highs of the glaciers in Tignes and Val d’Isère to the pretty rolling reds and blues down to Tignes Les Breviers. Tignes also has some great off piste and board parks with the X-games returning for 2012.

There are a number of easy runs for novice skiers with the bonus of 5 free ski lifts for beginners. Once basic skiing techniques have been mastered, head to the Palafour lift in Le Lac or up the Tichot or Grattalu chairlifts.

A multitude of exciting, challenging terrain is ready and waiting for all levels of intermediate skier. Try cruising down the easy blue run to Tignes les Brevières in time for lunch at the bottom. The high speed 6-seater chair from Val Claret to Col de Fresse provides speedy access to Val d'lsère and the glacier at le Fornet.
