New for 2012/13 - the Niederau ski area has joined up with the Alpbach ski area creating the Ski Juwel area with 145km of piste. A link has been built from Inneralpbach to the top of the Schatzberg to join these 2 areas. One lift pass now covers this whole area and includes all ski buses.
The Niederau ski area is perfect for beginners and with the new links, the rest of the area is just waiting for progressing beginners and intermediates to discover.
Characterised by the picturesque scenery and friendly atmosphere, the family resort of Niederau is situated in a popular area of the Kitzbüheler Alps known as the Wildschönau valley.
Niederau is one of the top resorts for learning to ski, with a high standard of instruction and a wide variety of beginner runs just on the edge of the village.
There are plenty of challenging runs for the intermediate skier with long interesting pistes and pretty tree-lined skiing. Excellent for second/third timers who want to explore further afield with some excellent red runs at Auffach, connected by the free ski bus.
Better suited to beginner and intermediate skiers Niederau can still offer the advanced skier some exciting off-piste skiing, and there are 4 decent black runs in the valley.
Niederau has several bars and a night club.
- Cave Bar
- Café Treff
- Flatscher Bar
- Sleigh rides
- Winter walks
- Innsbruck Olympic bobsleigh
- Cross-country skiing
- Quiz nights
- Snow tubing
