Clubhotel Les Rois Mages - Montgenevre (France)...
An old favourite with a great deal going for it including a wonderful position, popular public bar and quieter residents’ lounge. Simple, friendly and spacious.
The ClubHotel is in the heart of Montgenevre, opposite the slopes and has marvellous views of the village, the ski slopes and the race piste. You simply cross the road (now quiet due to the new by-pass tunnel) get on your skis and pick up a lift.
There is a spacious restaurant, reception area leading to the restaurant and an ideal bar with a sun terrace over-looking the slopes (often a stop off point for the local ski school).
On the lower level is a large entertainments room which has its own lively bar. There is also Karaoke which is, of course, a favourite!

Resort Overview...
Montgenèvre is one of those rare resorts with everything, including possibly the best non-glacier conditions in France! The attractive high altitude old village of Montgenèvre is convenient and snowsure with brilliant skiing for all standards and high mileage for those who want it during their ski holidays. Montgenèvre ski resort is excellent for families with everything within walking distance, it takes about 15 minutes from end to end.
On the Slopes...
The local lift pass for ski in
Montgenèvre is the Mont de la Lune ski pass which includes Claviere ski
resort and Cesana, adding about 50% more skiing and allowing
intermediates to ski there and back. With Montgenèvre neighbouring
Claviere, the combined area offers more lifts, piste's and links. You
can ski in Montgenèvre 'sans frontiers' north or south of the pass and
the whole area is fully integrated.
Ski holidays in Montgenèvre give beginners a great choice, not only on the superb village runs but in the bowl as well. They can ski all the way home on an easy blue path to gain that invaluable sense of achievement. The ski school is friendly and the instructors speak good English. Montgenèvre ski holidays give intermediates the run of sweeping blue runs, reds with gentle moguls, some pretty tree runs and the fantastic Colletto Verde into Italy. There are dramatic, craggy outcrops and great views all the way, then a beautiful run, partially off-piste, all the way to Claviere.
Much of the Montgenèvre terrain is unofficially pisted by skiers enjoying the gullies and trees between the piste, almost doubling the official mileage. Montgenèvre ski holidays give experts three or four challenging blacks and we also recommend the cheap day extension to the Milky Way. There is also a ski away day option to Serre Chevalier to add a bit more variety for the keen expert skiers.

snowboarders as there is a half pipe just opposite the hotel. There is
easily accessible off-piste which almost doubles the official ski area.
Montgenèvre snowboarding is great for beginners and intermediates as it
is possible to access the whole area without using a single drag lift.
