Las Vegas Breaks

Las Vegas city breaks are for those seeking a flight from reality. Located in Nevada in the US, this once dusty, desert town has, in a little over one hundred years, become an internationally renowned city. Known as the 'entertainment capital of the world', Las Vegas is famous for its gambling, its shopping, its shows and sporting events, its fine dining and its nightlife. Here, entertainment really is 'twenty four seven'. It is the city that never sleeps.

Las Vegas has the WOW factor

The Las Vegas Strip is just over four miles long and is actually just outside the city limits. This stretch of road contains fifteen of the world's largest hotels, with a level of luxury that is almost beyond compare. Some of the hotels have a European theme so you can imagine you are in Paris, Italy, or Greece. These hotels of course are also casinos with hundreds of tables and slot machines. Since this is where the owners wish to relieve you of your dollars, hotel accommodation can be surprisingly cheap. Check our search function to find your cheap Las Vegas city break.

Las Vegas city breaks can be enjoyed at any time of year as the temperature in winter rarely drops below sixty. It can however be very hot during the summer months with temperatures reaching the nineties. The city attracts couples, wedding parties, golfers and groups of adults. Although there are a few attractions suitable for children, others having closed down because of lack of demand, it is not really a family friendly venue. Children are forbidden to enter casinos and since it would be incredibly rare for a visitor here to avoid any gambling, families would surely be happier choosing an alternative destination. Many tourists come to see the Las Vegas shows which are of very high quality as the hotels attract the best of world famous performers. If you tire of being indoors, the city has several parks, four golf courses, swimming pools and skate parks. The Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay is worth a visit. If you've a head for heights, go to the top of the Stratosphere. The view here is stunning and the ride down is definitely of the white knuckle variety. There are several attractions that are free and well worth seeing. In the old town, Freemont Street, there is a choreographed light show each evening. While the Bellagio Hotel may be beyond your means, you can still enjoy the magnificent dancing fountains accompanied by the singing of Andrea Bocelli, the conservatory and the botanical gardens, as well as the Fiori di Coma glass chandelier created by the glass sculpter Dale Chihuly in the hotel lobby.

Since it is a fairly short distance from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon many visitors take a helicopter ride to enjoy the spectacular views the canyon offers.

We have a number of cheap Las Vegas city breaks, leaving you with a little extra money for slots and roulette wheels, poker or craps. Our deals offer great value as hotel accommodation is always good, and restaurants cater for all tastes. And I mean all tastes. Whatever you fancy and whatever time you fancy it, The Strip eateries will be pleased to oblige.

If you are looking for a unique holiday, where the sun always shines, with twenty-four hour long entertainment and the chance to win a fortune (or lose it!), our Las Vegas city breaks may fit the bill.
