About the Cleopatra Luxury Resort Makadi Bay...

The Cleopatra Luxury Resort offers all inclusive five star accommodation and is an excellent destination for a family holiday. It is situated on the Red Sea coast and is a short drive from the centre of Hurghada. It boasts a great range of sports and leisure facilities for guests of all ages to enjoy - including eight swimming pools, six tennis courts and a gymnasium. Guests can take scuba diving lessons and enjoy games of beach volleyball and water polo. There are also facilities for archery, horse riding, water skiing, sailing and banana boating and there are fitness classes - including aerobics, zumba and pilates. Alternatively, guests can indulge in an array of massages, physiotherapy and thalassotherapy treatments in the spa.

The Cleopatra Luxury Resort is an attractive complex surrounded by lush tropical gardens. It boasts an attractive stretch of private beach and is just a half hour's drive from Hurghada International Airport. Guests can enjoy drinks and snacks throughout the day in the pool and lobby bars and can dine on international cuisine in the buffet restaurant. Speciality a la carte meals are served in the Vista Mare and Rock Lobster Restaurants. Guests can enjoy after dinner entertainment in the theatre and there is also a nightclub. Additional services and facilities available to guests at The Cleopatra Luxury Resort include a 24 hour reception, a currency exchange, a car rental service, conference facilities and a luggage storage room. Complimentary wireless internet access is available throughout.

The Cleopatra Luxury Resort offers comfortable and attractive accommodation in bungalows and villas. Double rooms, suites and family rooms are available and all are air conditioned and have private balconies. MS Emilio

The MS Emilio is a modern five star ship of 72 metres in length. It boasts four decks and has a spacious sun deck which commands excellent views of the waters of the Nile. This a great choice for couples and would also be suitable for families. Passengers will get the opportunity add on an optional (at additional cost) excursion package to see the grand monuments of ancient Egypt including the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens, the Temples of Karnak and Edfu, the Colossus of Memnon and the Grand Obelisk. A certified Egyptologist will accompany passengers on all shore excursions.

The MS Emilio boasts a swimming pool and an open air gymnasium. It also has a small spa where guests have the use of a sauna, Turkish bath and Jacuzzi and where massages are available. Additional on­board facilities include an internet cafe and a hairdresser. International and Egyptian buffet meals are served in the restaurant and there is a regular after dinner entertainment schedule ­ including Nubian folklore displays and belly­dancing. Drinks are served throughout the day in the Piano Bar and there is a small boutique where passengers can buy souvenirs.

The MS Emilio has 72 cabins ­ including single rooms, doubles, triples and suites. They are all air conditioned and have large windows which command excellent views of the Nile. Each cabin has a telephone, a safety deposit box and a television with international satellite channels. Courtesy sets are provided in every cabin.

Nile cruise itinerary

A typical optional Nile cruise itinerary is as follows:

• Day 1: Relax on board the ship and stay overnight in Luxor
• Day 2: Spend the morning visiting the East Bank, Karnak and the Luxor temples. In the afternoon, sail to Edfu where you will stay overnight
• Day 3: Visit Edfu Temple (chargeable) and in the afternoon sail to Kom Ombo where you can visit the temple. Overnight, sail to Aswan
• Day 4: Visit Philae Temple and High Dam
• Day 5: Make an early morning visit to Abu Simple Temple (chargeable) and in the afternoon, sail to Edfu where you will stay overnight
• Day 6: Sail to Luxor where you will stay overnight
• Day 7: Visit the West Bank, the Valley of the Kings, Hatschepsut and Memmnon Colossi (chargeable)
• Day 8: Disembark after breakfast
